512 aided in the design of a steel frame structure to retrofit the opening with a new canopy with FEM modelling and detailing. Key parts were to make the design in sections so that it could be fabricated off-site, brought on to the job, and assembled as fool proof as possible. The resulting skylight/canopy mounted on the steel frame is the central visual feature of this fine dining space.
